The Oklahoma Department of Transportation notified the City of McAlester of a traffic advisory for the U.S. Highway 69 project set to take effect Friday, Aug 23rd.
ODOT said highway traffic will be able to cross over at the intersection with Ninth Street but will not be allowed to make U-turns across the median.
Traffic from service roads and Ninth Street entering the highway, must yield to highway traffic and must turn right at the respective intersections. Traffic from service roads and Ninth Street will not be allowed to cross over the highway at the intersection and will need to plan for an alternate route.
