The McAlester Police Department said a 2-year-old was struck and killed Thursday evening by a vehicle in McAlester.
MPD Public Information Officer Lt. Kirk Johnston said officers and medics from the McAlester Fire Department were called Thursday evening at approximately 5:41 p.m. to the area of North 1st Street and East Electric Avenue in McAlester after a child was struck by a 2017 Chevy truck.
Johnston said the child died as a result of the collision and that the investigation is ongoing. McAlester PD is also asking that if you witnessed this accident, and have not spoken to an officer, please contact the McAlester Police Dept. at 918-423-1212.
