The City of McAlester shut down the 12-inch main line from the Seminole Tower this Thursday morning around 9 a.m. for contractors to install a Pressure Reducing Valve.
This is part of Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Project 4A.
Estimated time for installation is 6-8 hours for completion. Areas to be affected will include the area of the Steven Taylor Industrial Park, and Rural Water District 7.
Customers may experience low water pressure during that time period in those areas, but water will remain on.
