The McAlester City Council will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 6:00 p.m. with many agenda items for discussion in what will be the final City Council meeting of the year.
The Consent Agenda includes approval of meeting minutes, claims, and the Oklahomans for Independent Living’s 1st Quarter Report. The Council will also review several mayoral reappointments to city boards and consider an agreement with McAlester Public Schools.
Under Scheduled Business, the Council will discuss change orders for two public works projects, including a $36,321.55 increase for Water Treatment Plant improvements and a $19,156.49 increase for West Street Distribution System upgrades. The Council will also review the City’s Audited Financial Statements for FY 2024.
Additionally, the City Manager’s Report will provide updates on recent city activities, followed by remarks from the Mayor and City Council members.
The meeting will also include sessions for the McAlester Airport Authority, McAlester Public Works Authority, and McAlester Retirement Trust Authority before reconvening to the regular City Council meeting.
