Eufaula Man Charged with Sex Offender Registration Violations in Krebs

A Eufaula man is facing multiple felony charges after he falsely reported his residence and was living within prohibited distances of a school and public park in Krebs.

Dale Allen Eason, 39, is charged in Pittsburg County District Court with residing within a prohibited distance of a school or other protected area, violating the Oklahoma Sex Offender Registration Act and furnishing false or misleading information on sex offender registration documents.

According to a probable cause affidavit, investigators with the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office conducted a compliance review and determined Eason, a Level 3 aggravated lifetime sex offender, was not living at the Eufaula address he had listed with authorities.

Eason allegedly registered a residence on Oklahoma Avenue in Eufaula but was instead living at a home on Southwest First Street in Krebs.

The Krebs residence is within 800 feet of Krebs Elementary School and approximately 1,400 feet from a city park, both locations prohibited under state law for certain registered sex offenders.

According to the affidavit, investigators confirmed Eason was receiving mail in Krebs and observed his vehicle at the residence on multiple occasions. Authorities also reported receiving assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, which allegedly observed Eason at the home during surveillance operations.

Court records show Eason is required to register as a sex offender following previous convictions that include indecent exposure, failure to register as a sex offender and third-degree sodomy.

A judge has set Eason’s bond at $10,000.
