Big Boy Making a Return to McAlester

Big Boy is coming to Old Town. The world’s biggest steam locomotive will make its return to McAlester on October 13th as part of its Heartland of America Tour. For those unfamiliar with ‘Big Boy’, he weighs a whopping 1.2 million pounds.

Which makes it the largest, heaviest and most powerful operational steam locomotive in the world. It also stands 17 feet tall and stretches 133 feet in length. Big Boy will make his appearance around 4 p.m. in Old Town on Sunday, Oct. 13th.

All Old Town shops will be open as well from 12 – 7 p.m.
