The City of McAlester is providing information for residents interested in reserving the Jeff Lee Swimming Pool for birthday parties as the 2026 summer season approaches.
City officials said pools are scheduled to open May 23, contingent on the hiring of a sufficient number of lifeguards.
Regular hours at Jeff Lee Swimming Pool will run daily from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., while wading pools and splash pads will operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Splash pads will remain open during daylight hours and are not available for private reservations.
Residents can reserve the pool for birthday parties by calling 918-421-4922. Officials said payment must be made within 48 hours of booking to secure the reservation.
Private parties are scheduled after normal business hours from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., offering groups exclusive use of the facility. During those times, the pool will be closed to the public.
Rental costs are $200 for groups of up to 30 people and $250 for parties exceeding that number. City officials noted that children ages 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
