Early voting begins Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025 for voters in Pittsburg County. This is a Special Bond Election for Haileyville Public School and Stuart Public School. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board. Sample ballots are now available.

Voters in the Stuart school district are being asked to approve two bonds. The first bond asks $1,850,000 for the construction, equipping, repairing, and remodeling of school buildings. The second bond is in the amount of $650,000 for new transportation equipment.
Haileyville is asking voters to approve a $1.4 million bond to repair/replace roofs, remodel the gymnasium, install new metal siding on the ag barn, and other facility repairs, as needed.
Pittsburg County Election Board Secretary Tonya Barnes, said early voting is open to all voters. “You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County Election Board or State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Barnes said.
