Embezzlement Case Against Former McAlester Coach Dismissed


An embezzlement case against a former McAlester High School football coach has been dismissed in Pittsburg County.

Forrest Mazey was accused of misusing over $4,500 from a McAlester Public Schools athletic account.

According to the affidavit, Mazey had been accused of allegedly spending $4,676.75 from the McAlester football program’s Adidas account between December 2024 and May 2025, after his employment with the district ended. 

Court records show the felony case was dismissed Monday, Jan. 26. No information is currently available as to why the case was dismissed
