McAlester Man Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Charges

Authorities arrested a McAlester man Thursday after an investigation linked him to child sexual abuse material online.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit identified 38-year-old Doyle Harris following a cybertip from Google to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators said photos and videos containing child sexual abuse material were connected to Harris’ online account.

On Feb. 12, the OSBI and the McAlester Police Department served a search warrant at Harris’ residence. Harris was arrested at the scene and booked into the Pittsburg County Jail on charges of aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material, possession of child sexual abuse material, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

The OSBI worked with the McAlester Police Department on the investigation.
