A Krebs man was arrested Tuesday on six felony charges including rape by instrumentation, and multiple counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.
Asa Beshear, 35, is charged in Pittsburg County District Court with rape by instrumentation, four counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, and one count of performing a lewd act in presence of a minor.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the investigation began April 14, 2026, after a report was made to the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators later conducted a forensic interview at a child advocacy center as part of the case.
Authorities allege the incidents involved inappropriate contact and other conduct involving the victim over a period of time.
Court documents state the allegations led to the filing of multiple charges.
Records show Beshear was taken into custody and booked into the Pittsburg County Justice Center with a $750,000 bond.
