McAlester Man Charged With Burglary And Assault

A McAlester man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say an incident at a residence led to allegations of assault and unlawful entry.

Wayne Martin Heisinger III, 38, has been charged in Pittsburg County District Court with assault and battery, second-degree burglary and malicious injury to property.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers were dispatched Feb. 17, 2026, to a home on East Madison Avenue in McAlester in reference to an assault.

Investigators reported that upon arrival, the victim told officers the suspect, identified as Heisinger, had come to the residence and asked for a marijuana pre-roll. The victim told officers she did not have one.

According to the affidavit, Heisinger allegedly became upset and struck a window of the victim’s vehicle.

Authorities say the victim attempted to leave the area, but Heisinger ran toward the residence. Investigators reported the victim tried to block the door, but Heisinger pushed her against a wall and entered the home.

Heisinger then allegedly went into a bedroom, took a marijuana pre-roll and left the residence.

Court records show an initial $15,000 bond was set in the case, and the defendant was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.

Records indicate Heisinger later posted bond and then failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing, resulting in a bond forfeiture and the issuance of a warrant.

He was later taken back into custody, where a new bond was set at $30,000.
