A Hartshorne woman is facing multiple charges after authorities say a domestic disturbance investigation led to an altercation with officers and the discovery of suspected methamphetamine at the Pittsburg County Jail.
Alishia Marie Todd, 40, is charged in Pittsburg County District Court with assault and battery on a police officer, bringing contraband into a jail or penal institution, domestic abuse-assault and battery and resisting an officer.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Hartshorne Police responded Thursday, May 14, to a reported domestic disturbance at a residence on Ninth Street in Hartshorne.
Investigators reported the victim told officers Todd struck him multiple times with what was described as a wooden board during an argument. The affidavit states the victim suffered visible injuries to his right hand.
Authorities say Todd also claimed the victim struck her in the neck, though officers reported they did not observe visible injuries beyond minor redness on one of her hands.
According to the affidavit, Todd became combative as officers attempted to arrest her, allegedly kicking and resisting officers while being escorted to a patrol unit. Investigators reported Todd also kicked the patrol unit door and struck her head against the partition while being transported to jail.
The affidavit further states jail staff later discovered two baggies containing a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine during the booking process. She is currently being held over on a $35,000 bond.
