McAlester Man Officially Charged with First-Degree Murder; Bond Set At $3 Million

A McAlester man is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with a June 5 shooting that left one man dead and two others injured.

Jeshaud Micah Washington, 20, is charged in Pittsburg County District Court with first-degree murder, two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and one count of feloniously pointing a firearm.

According to a felony information filed June 9, prosecutors allege Washington shot and killed Jalen Green on June 5 in Pittsburg County.

Court records further allege Washington assaulted two other individuals with a firearm and pointed a gun at one of them during the incident.

Prosecutors filed the murder charge under theories of both deliberate intent and, alternatively, felony murder.

A probable cause affidavit was not publicly available as of publication. McAlester Radio was informed the affidavit would not be made available to the public.

Washington is being held on a $3 million bond.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Washington could face a sentence of death, life imprisonment or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
