The Oklahoma Department of Transportation notified the City of McAlester of a traffic advisory for the U.S. Highway 69 project in effect as of this Monday, Aug. 19.
ODOT says they closed the highway service road intersection at Ninth Street (Hardy Springs Road) on the south side of US Highway 69 and this is expected for at least three days or potentially the entire week.
This is to allow time for contractors to finish a portion of the intersection.
