MEET YOUR ANNOUNCERS
Brandon Green is your “Voice of the Buffaloes!” Brandon took up the mantle at the beginning of the 2017 football season and proceeded to call nearly every McAlester High School varsity football, basketball, and baseball game since. Brandon is an experienced and highly decorated sportscaster. He has had the opportunity to sportscast ten full years of high school football, baseball, and basketball, as well as collegiate basketball, baseball, and softball at Eastern Oklahoma State College. He has won two awards from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters in his decade of broadcasting and while pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, he was awarded the Gene Dillehay scholarship, which recognized him as one of the top student broadcasters in the state of Oklahoma. This award is only given out to two college students each year.
As an alumnus of McAlester High School, Brandon understands the rich history of McAlester’s athletic programs and has dedicated himself to bringing listeners a professional yet exciting broadcast, as well as providing McAlester’s student-athletes with unrivaled coverage. To do so, he has recruited top-notch broadcasters that match his passion for his community, with Phillip Jewell Jr. (color-commentator), Chase McNutt (sideline reporter), and Nate Brown (video director) all graduating from McAlester High School as well. McAlester Football is a “must-watch” every season, but with the KNED sports crew’s unmatched chemistry, electric energy, and extensive knowledge of the game, it is also a “must-listen” with them behind the mics.
