A McAlester man was seen in Pittsburg County Court on Tuesday on the charges of assault and battery on a medical care provider. Zakkary White was arrested on Friday, Aug. 23rd after police were called to Carl Albert Mental Health (CAMH) due to a patient being combative.
According to an arrest affidavit, staff wanted White arrested after he allegedly attacked a worker and hit him several times. This took place before police arrived. After police and back up arrived at CAMH, White allegedly attacked an officer and attempted to hit one of them.
White is currently being held over on a $20,000 bond and his next court date is set for Friday, Aug. 29th.
