The Pittsburg County Free Fair has been rocking along since Tuesday, Sept. 3rd and there are still a good amount of events to attend before the final day on Saturday. The Youth Day activities begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning and include demonstrations by the McAlester Fire Department, Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management, Beekeepers Association, McAlester Library and Emergency Management.
The participants will also enjoy performances by Marty Westerman and have the opportunity to visit a petting zoo. The Clydesdales will also be at the fair. There wll also be a judging contest and a tractor driving contest Friday. Live entertainment will be performing on Friday night starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Expo Hall. The Drew Metcalf band is the opening act.
Saturday, you can expect livestock shows.
