The deadline to apply for voter registration is October 11th for those wishing to vote in the November 5th General Election, as well as the Indianola Public School Bond and Town of Quinton Proposition.

Applications must be received by the County Election Board or postmarked by midnight on October 11, 2024. While late applications will be accepted, they won’t be processed until after the election. Applicants can also submit their forms at any motor vehicle agency that functions as a voter registration agency by the deadline.

Applicants will receive written notification once their application is processed. Approved voters will get a Voter Identification Card by mail, while those whose applications are not approved will receive a letter explaining the reasons. Barnes emphasized that anyone who hasn’t received a response within 30 days of applying should contact the County Election Board office promptly.

The Pittsburg County Election Board also notes that voters who have relocated to Pittsburg County from another county or state must submit a new Voter Registration Application to be eligible for local elections. For those who have moved within the county, address changes can be made online through the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or by submitting a new application.

Voter Registration Applications can be downloaded from the State Election Board website at oklahoma.gov/elections. Additionally, forms are available at the County Election Board office, and most post offices, tag agencies, and public libraries can provide applications upon request.
