A festive Christmas celebration will light up downtown McAlester on Choctaw tonight, offering something for everyone. The evening will feature free photos with Santa inside the OKLA Theater, where a holiday scene has been set up for families to capture special memories.
Guests can also enjoy roasting s’mores by the fire pits in front of the bandstand, with s’mores kits available for purchase inside the theater. Christmas carolers, led by Rodney Briggs, will spread holiday cheer at the bandstand and along Choctaw Avenue. Big V Feeds is sponsoring free horse-drawn carriage rides through downtown, providing a scenic way to take in the festive atmosphere. Local shops will stay open late for last-minute holiday shopping.
