A McAlester man was arrested this week on felony charges of lewd molestation stemming from an incident that allegedly took place in March 2024. Johnathon Church, 31, is accused of making a 4-year-old touch his private parts and reportedly scratch his backside.
The victim stated that Church told her not to say anything about what had happened. According to the affidavit, Church was reportedly a friend of the family who had been staying with them for over a year and was also paid to babysit the child.
When Church was interviewed by police, he denied all allegations and claimed that nothing reported had occurred.
Church made his $50,000 bond earlier this week.
