Where to watch fireworks across Choctaw Nation


The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will light up with fireworks this week with multiple shows across the reservation as well as entertainment.

Wednesday, July 2

Thursday, July 3

  • Choctaw Landing, located 10 miles north of Broken Bow in Hochatown, will have a firework show that starts at 9 p.m. DJ Derrick will be performing on Cypress Lawn from 4-9 p.m., and Coke will have giveaways for guests from 3-7 p.m.
    • On Friday, July 4, Hailey Wright, a Choctaw Tribal member and former Voice contestant, will perform at the outdoor amphitheater from 9-11 p.m. There will also be pool parties with DJ Derrick from 2-7 p.m. on July 4, 5, and 6.
  • Choctaw Casino – Stringtown will have fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. Food trucks will set up near the stage at 5 p.m., and The Close will perform at 7 p.m.
  • Catch the free Boom in the Valley fireworks show at the Choctaw Nation Capitol Grounds in Tuskahoma. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at dusk. Food vendors will be on site.

Friday, July 4

  • Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant will host a firework display on Friday, July 4 at dusk.
  • Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola will host its annual fireworks show on Friday, July 4 at dusk.
  • Choctaw Cultural Center will offer activities for the entire family on the evening of July 4. Activities include bingo for prizes, a coloring sheet competition and social dancing demonstrations. Audio to the Fireworks show will be provided by tuning in to KLBC FM. The Cultural Center will be closed during the day but will open its gates at 6:30 p.m. for the fireworks show and evening festivities. Cost is $40 per vehicle, which covers admission for everyone in the vehicle, a goody bag with glow stick, bingo card, cookie, box of popcorn and water bottle.
