A McAlester man has been charged with a felony for allegedly providing false information on his sex offender registration, according to court records and a police affidavit filed this week.
Trevor Blaine Gray, a Level III sex offender, is accused of listing an address where he neither lived nor was permitted to be, prosecutors say.
According to an affidavit from the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy John Burnett attempted to locate Gray at a McAlester residence on July 14 after receiving information that his registered address might be invalid.
The deputy spoke with somebody who knows Gray, at 2101 N B St., who said Gray stays there occasionally but does not live there full time.
Authorities say Gray had previously been told on July 11, 2023, that the N B Street address fell within a restricted safety zone for registered sex offenders and that he could not stay there.
Gray signed a formal notice acknowledging that restriction at the time.
Between April 8 and April 15, 2025, Gray reported 827 Meredith Road in Haywood as his residence. However, the owner stated in a written statement dated July 1, that Gray did not live there and was not allowed on the property.
Gray is facing a felony charge of providing false sex offender registration information and is currently being held over on a $50,000 bond.
