OHP: McAlester man injured in Lake Eufaula tubing accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a McAlester man was seriously injured Sunday in a tubing accident on Lake Eufaula.

Troopers said a boat was pulling a tube with four passengers on the lake near Longtown when the tube hit a large wave. OHP said all six passengers were ejected from the tube. OHP said one man who was on the tube had to be flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa area hospital due to the injuries received in the accident.

The report states personal flotation devices were worn by all passengers at the time of the accident and that the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
