Oklahoma To Launch New Driver Services Platform

Oklahoma will launch a new platform for driver license and motor vehicle services on Tuesday, Feb. 17, state officials announced. The system will consolidate multiple services into a single online portal called Navigate, replacing the OkCARS system.

The portal will allow residents to renew or replace licenses and state IDs, update addresses, register vehicles, pay fees, and access records online. In-person transactions at Service Oklahoma locations and licensed operators will include electronic signatures and automatic license reinstatements. Current credentials will remain valid until expiration.

Some services will be temporarily unavailable during the transition. Online payments through OkCARS end Feb. 10, and all online services will be offline Feb. 11–16. Service Oklahoma offices and licensed operator locations will close Feb. 12–15, with limited appointments available Feb. 16. Full operations are expected to resume Feb. 17.

Officials said personal data will be protected using encryption and will not be shared with federal agencies. Residents can choose between a REAL ID-compliant credential or a standard driver license or state ID. The update is intended to simplify access to state services and improve system operations.
