McAlester WW2 Veteran turning 100-Years-Old this Weekend


A McAlester resident is turning 100-years-old this weekend. World War 2 veteran, Ralph Perona, will be hitting triple digits on Saturday, Aug. 17th and is inviting everyone to celebrate with him.

Perona was in the Army Air Core as a door gunner and was on the b-17 and b-24 bombers as a combat engineer. Perona is currently a long-standing member of the Masons and Shriners, American Legion, Veteran of Foreign War, and the Disabled American Veterans group.

As mentioned, the party will take place Saturday, Aug. 17th at 12 p.m.
