McAlester City Manager Dave Andren appeared on KNED Wednesday morning to discuss multiple items which were highlighted by TSET Grants and sidewalks. Andren was asked about the new sidewalks being put in and the “master trails” plan that is set to come to McAlester.
He had this to say about the money being spent on the project.
Andren says the big focus is helping build a healthy living and lifestyle for McAlester. It was also announced that Strong Blvd. has been updated to be called Dr. Willa Strong Blvd, to honor a decision that was made back in the 1970’s.
Andren explained that the street signs will not change, but the name change has been made official to the post office, and you will still get mail if it is addressed to Strong Blvd.
