The Pittsburg County Free Fair is in full effect at the Southeast Expo Center in McAlester as it is set to run through Saturday. The events for Thursday include the talent show with check-in at 5:00 p.m. The talent show categories range from 3-year-old through adults. Entry fee of $5 for individual acts and $10 for group acts with all entry fees paid back to the winners.
Magician Marty Westerman gives a FREE performance Thursday evening as he is the opening act for the Talent Show that starts at 6:00 pm. He will also provide a strolling performance during the livestock shows.
An Auctioneering Class has been added to the FFA division. The contest will be held on Thursday evening following the open Talent Show. Each contestant will auction two items to the general public. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the scholarships awarded at the Pittsburg County Junior Livestock Show held in the spring. Events range from the Aggie Olympics on Thursday morning to the Livestock Shows on Saturday morning.
