A Pittsburg County man was seen in Court last week on the charges of shooting with intent to kill and attempted burglary in the second degree. Christopher Cheyenne was arrested this month after police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sequoyah Rd in Pittsburg County.
According to an affidavit, Cheyenne allegedly tried to break into the victim’s home and was confronted by one of the residents at the home and shot his revolver handgun at him and missed, striking the washer machine. Cheyenne is also alleged of trying to kick the door of the residence in, as a footprint was found on the door and the hinges were bent.
Cheyenne fled after the altercation but was later tracked down by police with a search warrant. Police discovered a silver Smith and Wesson 357 revolver at Cheyenne’s residence with five bullets inside and one spent casing.
Cheyenne was given a $150,000 bond and will be seen again in court again Oct. 31st.
