The City of McAlester will have their second and final City Council meeting of the month on Tuesday as this will be the first entire meeting with newly elected Mayor Justin Few holding the reigns. The agenda shows that they are expected to approve minutes of the last two meetings this month before they get into discussion and possible action on multiple items.
Some of those items include the approval of certain costs related to the Fire Department, possibly postponing tort claims, and a possible agreement with the Census for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure. They also have nine items to cover under the “scheduled business” portion of the meeting.
If you would like to read the agenda, you can find it here. This meeting will take place in the Council Chambers at McAlester City Hall at 28 E. Washington at 6 p.m., and it is open to the public.
