At its meeting Tuesday, the McAlester City Council approved several important items, including contracts for infrastructure projects and an extension for a remodeling permit.
Councilors awarded a $629,900 contract to Lonehickory Cattle, LLC for the Taylor Industrial Park Sewer Improvements, funded by PREP grant funds. They also approved a $4,450 change order for Utility Maintenance Contractors LLC for the Water Treatment Plant pump upgrades.
The council granted an extension for the Special Remodel Permit for the condemned property at 312 W. Monroe Ave., allowing the owner more time to meet permit requirements.
In addition, the council approved a $209,500 contract with Mac Hill Construction Management, LLC for the reconstruction of the airport terminal parking lot, also funded through PREP grants.
All items passed unanimously.
