The city will begin the second phase of its Automated Metering Infrastructure project on Wednesday, April 16.
The work, which will take place on the north side of town, is expected to affect about 1,600 residents and last about six to eight weeks.
Professional Meters Inc., the contractor hired by the city, will handle installation. Crews will be in marked vehicles and carry proper identification. They will attempt to make contact with residents before installing meters and notify them once work is complete.
If no one is home, crews will leave a door hanger with contact information for both PMI and the city.
