A McAlester woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly conspiring to smuggle contraband, including cell phones, knives, and tobacco, into the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.
Robin Renee Lambert, also known as Robin Renee Wimmer, was charged in Pittsburg County District Court with four counts, including conspiracy to bring contraband into a penal institution, possession of a cell phone in a correctional facility, bringing weapons onto prison grounds, and possession of tobacco in a penal institution.
According to court documents filed by District Attorney Chuck Sullivan, Lambert is accused of conspiring with inmate Benjamin Anderson to deliver prohibited items to the prison on June 25, 2025. According to an affidavit, Lambert drove onto the prison property and allegedly attempted to leave a bag containing multiple cell phones, knives, and tobacco products intended for the inmate.
Lambert faces conspiracy charges, a felony with up to 10 years in prison and a $5,000 fine. She also potentially faces up to two years for unlawfully possessing a cell phone in a secure facility, along with separate felony charges for bringing weapons into the prison and a misdemeanor for possessing tobacco on prison grounds.
Court records show Lambert has a prior felony conviction in Hughes County from August 2024. In that case, she was convicted on five counts, including possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II substance, conspiracy, bringing contraband into a prison, assault and battery on a correctional officer, and drug distribution involving marijuana. She received suspended sentences on all counts.
If convicted of the new charges, Lambert faces significant additional prison time, including potential sentences of up to 10 years on multiple felonies.
She is currently being held over on a $75,000 bond
