The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Missouri man is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle in Pittsburg County Sunday afternoon.
OHP reports 53-year-old Aaron M. Lloyd, from Nixa, Missouri, was driving a motorcycle north on U.S. Highway 69 near the State Highway 9A exit when the rear tire of the motorcycle experienced a blowout at approximately 3:43 p.m. Sunday.
“As a result, the rider lost control and laid the motorcycle down,” the OHP report states. “The rider then struck the end cap of a guardrail.”
Troopers said Lloyd was pronounced dead at the scene by Pafford EMS.
The crash remains under investigation, OHP said.
